WSB Awards & Digital Impact Awards - 2018 Winner
We're thrilled to announce that VideoSmart has won two awards in two months with its personalised pension benefit statement videos with Legal & General.
VideoSmart has won two awards:
- Gold for Benefits Innovation of the Year at the WSB Awards
- Silver for Best Use of Digital to an Internal Audience at the Digital Impact Awards.
Judges said that in partnership, LGIM and VideoSmart had done amazing work in engaging pension scheme members through personalised benefit statements which encouraged them to save more for their retirement.
The Awards
Best Use of Digital to an Internal Audience includes the use of videos, websites, intranets or apps.
The best entries are said to demonstrate the challenges faced when addressing internal teams at different levels and those shortlisted showed how the use of digital allowed these challenges to be overcome.
For the WSB Award, finalists were judged on how well they introduced new innovations to help clients and fulfil their needs.
To win an award for both in our first full year of trading has been a great accomplishment for the team at VideoSmart.
The Campaign
In order to simplify and demystify a complex financial product and make use of new media types to increase engagement, VideoSmart delivered personalised video pension benefit statements to L&G’s employees.
Each unique video, creatively masterminded by LikeMinds UK, articulated employees’ pension data in an easy-to-understand format, supported by personalised text, audio, scenes and subtitles for optimum accessibility.
Combining the power of creativity with technology and personalisation allowed for a complex topic to be made sexy, and many employees finally engaged with their pension.
The Results
The end-to-end results of the campaign speak for themselves and were described by Legal & General’s Andrea Ansell as ‘industry-leading’.
These included an 82% email click-through rate, 96% of videos being viewed and a staggering 74% of members clicking through after the video to take action.
The Ceremony
The Digital Impact Awards, hosted by the hilarious Ed Gamble and held at The Hilton Hotel Park Lane, saw the announcement of 40 industry awards, ranging from Best Viral Campaign to Digital Agency of the Year.
VideoSmart were in attendance with Legal and General and CTC – the masterminds behind the pension calculations.
A fantastic evening enjoyed by all and of course, topped off by a Silver Award in such a competitive category. Congratulations to all the other winners of the evening!
